Sport: Badminton

What fascinates me about my sport is...

... that badminton is above all an incredibly fast, amazingly power-intensive but still extremely strategic sport. I am particularly enthusiastic about strategy and the fact that a lot of strength is often characterised by considered, clever play and making sensible decisions in fractions of a second. As a result, many players develop very individual strategies and playing styles and it is always exciting to compete against new players.

What fascinates me about University Sports is...

... the very wide range of different sports on offer. I also think it's great that the HSP offers a very beginner-friendly course programme in all these areas, so that you can get a taste of many sports without having to make any big commitments or the like.

When I'm not practicing my sport...

...... I'm currently studying IT security and also work as an SKH, which takes up a considerable part of my day alongside badminton. I also take part in taekwondo courses at the university sports centre and play canoe polo in the summer. I still try to go climbing regularly, but unfortunately this has been on the wane recently.
