Sport: Yoga Hatha, Yoga Vinyasa

At University Sports since:
summer semester 24

What fascinates me about my sport is...

Owing to my native Indian roots, I was fortunate to have been introduced to yoga at a very young age. Over time, through 550+ hours of teacher training and countless hours dedicated to self practice, I have come to view Yoga not just as a physical exercise, but a way of life, which welcomes everyone and anyone who chooses to embrace it.

As a happy practitioner and trainer, Yoga has really become my means of creating a harmonious union of my physical, mental, and spiritual energies. What fascinates me about the sport is that no matter how long you learn and do yoga, it will always remain a 'practice,' all about being, doing, learning, and growing.

This practice has been preserved in ancient scriptures and passed on in classes, and this allows for movement to become a universal and timeless language for fostering connections. I hope to offer an insightful journey with yoga to my students, and look forward to connecting with each one of you!

What fascinates me about University Sports is...

The sheer range of offers is the first thing that I'm fascinated about. Their commitment to inclusion and diversity ensures that sport really is for all! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, whether you have found your favourites or just exploring, whether you're a morning person or an evening spirit, there's a special place for each one of us! I'm elated to be a part of this fabulous team.

When I'm not practicing my sport...

...I'll be usually seen pounding keyboards and chasing assignment deadlines for my Masters degree at the RUB!
I'm currently studying International Humanitarian Action on an exchange semester at RUB.
Other than my academic and yogic pursuits, I also endeavor to make time for my other passions, including contemporary dancing and going for hikes!

My motto is:

Being open to learning and unlearning, always and in all ways.
I'm a big believer in the theory of karma, you are what you do, and what you put out in the world, will find its way back to you.
